After Kollam, Vizhinjam and Beypur, Azhikal Port also has ISPS
Minister VN Vasavan said that after Kollam, Vizhinjam and Beypur ports, Azhikal port has also received ISPS (International Shipping and Port Security Code) permanent approval. The Minister said that with this, the port has a new development potential and the achievement will be a big milestone in the development of background infrastructure.

The Minister also informed that as part of the government's stand to make the small ports of Kerala operational as part of the realization of the Vizhinjam port, efforts have been made to obtain ISPS approval for the small ports.
